The house nestles on the hill above the shores of Loch Venachar in the beautiful Trossachs area of Scotland. The property is on a private estate within the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, Scotland's first national park.

The Trossachs are a picturesque range of hills straddling the border between the highlands and Lowlands of Scotland, interdispersed with several idyllic lochs. (Loch Venachar, Loch Achray, Loch Katrine, Loch Lomond to name a few.)

The area has inspired writers including Sir Walter Scott, with Loch Katrine being the setting for his novel 'Lady of the Lake'.
