NOTICE: WE ARE IN THE FINAL STAGES OF MAJOR REFURBISHMENT AND PLAN TO RE-OPEN IN JUNE 2008.Please contact us for further details.Invertrossachs Country House is a lovely family home, built as an Edwardian
shooting lodge in 1911, on the hill above the shores of Loch Venachar
in the beautiful Trossachs area of Scotland.
The property is on a private estate within the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park (Scotland's first national park), and is about one and a half hour's drive from both Edinburgh and Glasgow airports. This family run country house offers a high standard of comfort in self-catering apartments located in the north wing of the Country House. Queen Victoria chose this site for her private visit to the Trossachs in 1869, one of Her Majesty's favourite Scottish destinations. The house and its grounds enjoy a peaceful and secluded environment in a beautiful woodland estate with spectacular views of the surrounding hills and lochs. There are lovely woodland walks within the grounds, direct access to the Loch shore and open access to the walking and cycling trails on the estate. This is a perfect area for those visitors who enjoy the outdoor life who can take advantage of woodland and hill walks, cycle trails, pony treks, golf courses, sailing, fishing, canoeing and stalking facilities. Alternatively, if you simply wish to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings then Invertrossachs Country House will be the perfect 'hideaway'.
